| Primary concerns within medical anthropology currently include biotechnologies, the symbolics of the body, and the intersection between anthropology and bioethics. Much of my work over the past 14 years has focused on forms of human organ replacement (human-to-human and experimental trajectories involving non-human implants). I've also written extensively on indigenous healing, as well as youth, health, history, and sexuality in Madagascar
