| Isaac Weisfuse, MD, MPH is Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Disease Control of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. He oversees programs that control infectious disease in New York City, including Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Tuberculosis, HIV, Vaccine Preventable Diseases, and all other communicable diseases, including those caused by bioterrorism. Other responsibilities include oversight of NYC's Public Health Laboratory and direction of the agency's emergency preparedness activities.
