Dr. Jeb Weisman is an anthropologist and computer scientist specializing in innovative uses of conventional, novel, and unconventional information systems. Specific interests include actant network theory; electronic and digital representation of the body in clinical information systems; disaster preparedness and vulnerable communities; "just-in-time" access to critical information during times of high need; public policy and information privacy. He lectures regularly to government, policy, advocacy, technology, and education organizations on topics of information technology, electronic privacy, technology and preparedness, electronic health records, and integrating information technology for education and quality life improvement for vulnerable and youth populations. Dr. Weisman is a member of a number of not-for-profit advisory boards, scientific advisory boards, and general member of a variety of anthropology and computer and information systems professional organizations.
