| Dr. Shelley is Assistant Professor of Clinical Sociomedical Sciences at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and her Masters Degree from the Columbia School of Public Health. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Shelley’s research focuses on tobacco control with key areas of interest including smoking cessation in underserved populations, health care system changes to improve the treatment of tobacco use and the impact of tobacco control policies on tobacco use behavior. Dr. Shelley is the former Director of the New York City Department of Health (DOH) Tobacco Control Program.
