P8541   Cost-benefit Analysis in Health, 3 points

Prerequisites: P6503 or permission of instructor

This is an introductory-level course to provide an overview of the theory, methods and applications of economic evaluation in the health context. Economic evaluation is a generic term that includes cost analysis, cost-benefit analysis (CBA), cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) and cost-utility analysis (CUA). The course is taught primarily from the societal perspective, although the implications of other perspectives are also explored.
